CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ VASTU SANGRAHALAYA

Applications
are invited from the citizens of India
for the post of the Director, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu
Sangrahalaya, Mumbai in the scale of Rs. 22,400 – 525 – 24,500
plus usual allowances. Period of probation will be two years.
Educational and other qualifications required for the above
post:
A.
Essential:
- Master’s
degree of a recognized University in Ancient Indian History
& Culture or Indian Archaeology or History of Art.
- Master’s
degree in Museology or Post Graduate diploma in Museology
or Ph.D degree.
- Minimum
10 years experience in Curatorial capacity in a Museum of
repute and considerable administrative experience in a responsible
position.
- Experience
of organizing Museum exhibitions (National/International),
Seminars, Workshops and Lectures.
- Knowledge
of Indian Antiquities.
B.
Desirable:
- Study/Travel
abroad to see Museum development.
- Experience
in writing Projects and Proposals.
- ]Research
and Teaching experiences.
C. Age
limit: Maximum 50 years.
The
Director has also to work as Secretary to the Board of Trustees.
Position offers challenging responsibilities for a person with
initiative and dynamism. Accommodation on the premises as per
Museum Rules.
Note:
Qualifications and age relaxable by the Board on the recommendation
of the Experts Committee in case of candidates otherwise well
qualified.
